Opis
During II World War in 1944, Wehrmaht defended this area. The defence line from Kolbiel to Ostrowiec near Vistula River was defended by 73th Infantry Division. Line of defense was broken on July 27-29 here, to the west from Dabrówka village by Red Army (units from 16th Tank Corps of 2nd Tank Army, and 8th Guards Army).
Now, when you walk in this forest, you can find many remains from the II World War - bunkers, bomb craters, anti-tank trenches, and entrenchments like this one.
