Opis
After few months of 1st World War, front have stabilized at the line of rivers Rawka and Bzura (few kilometres from this place), and fights have changed their character into trenches warfare. The front was here from December 1914 to July 1915 when Russian Army have retreated. Many villages were completely destroyed, thousands of soldiers were killed. Even now, after almost hundred years, you can find many signs of the Great War, such as remains of trenches in the forests, war cemeteries, names of villages (Okopy -Trenches, Reduta Wojenna - Military Redoubt).
Altough cemetery in Humin is a little destroyed, it survived in quite good shape. It's rectangular mound with fortified stone wall. Theres a monument in the middle, and one grave tablet, but no graves survived.
The box is hidden in the back of cemetery, in the wall destroyed by a tree.
