Na tym boisku gospodarzem jest drużyna piłkarska Start Płoty. Klub działa od 1947r. Z ciekawostek można podać fakt że w tamtym okresie była tylko jedna piłka, która była bardzo szanowana i służyła zawodnikom i klubowi przez trzy lata.

Na tą chwilę Start Płoty znajduje się w rozgrywkach klasy A w lubuskim.
