Description PL

Kamień węgielny pod budowę świątyni wmurowano 1 października 1754 r.

Kościół zbudowano pierwotnie jako klasztorny dla sióstr urszulanek, które od 1700 r. przebywały w Świdnicy i zajmowały się nauczaniem dziewcząt.

Parafia była erygowana w 1946 roku. 26 sierpnia 2012 roku parafia została przekazana ojcom Paulinom. 24 października 2016 roku bp. Ignacy Dec podniósł kościół parafialny do godności sanktuarium.
