Baszta Strzegomska wraz z przylegającymi zabudowaniami dawnego kościoła św. Barbary tworzy zespół zabytkowy.

Budynek dawnej kaplicy, a następnie kościoła św. Barbary jest ostatnią z siedmiu kaplic które stały przy każdej z bram miasta.

Do Bramy Strzegomskiej przylega fragment muru obronnego.
