Dawno temu, na ziemiach otaczających Bałtyk, przez ponad pół tysiąca lat panowała dynastia Gryfitów. Ich symbol - gryf - mityczne zwierzę o ciele lwa, głowie, szponach i skrzydłach orła do dziś jest symbolem Pomorza. Szlak Gryfitów pozwoli Wam poznać miejsca związane z czasami panowania tej dynastii.

Kamień Pomorski

Miasto jest jednym z najstarszych miast na Pomorzu Zachodnim. Niegdyś pełniło rolę stolicy Księstwa Pomorskiego i było stolicą biskupstwa. Dziś to miasto pełne zabytków, uzdrowisko i nowoczesna marina.

Skrzynka:

Skrzynka ukryta jest w Muzeum Historii Ziemi Kamieńskiej w miejscu wskazywanym przez GPS i jest dostępna jedynie w godzinach pracy muzeum: od poniedziałku do soboty w godzinach 10:00 - 16:00. Wstęp do muzeum jest płatny (ok. 10 zł), jednak dostęp do skrzynki nie wymaga opłaty. Nie trzeba rozmawiać z pracownikami muzeum, zalecam kulturalne powitanie. Obsługa wie o pojemniku i wyraziła zgodę na jego umieszczenie. Skrzynka jest w pobliżu drzwi wejściowych. Dostęp do skrzyni chroniony jest kłódką z kodem, a zdobycie kodu wymaga odpowiedzi na pytania z historii i odwiedzenia kilku zabytków w mieście.

Z którego roku pochodzi pierwsza wzmianka o Kamieniu Pomorskim? Wiąże się to z datą, gdy Warcisław I, założyciel dynastii Gryfitów przyjmował uzgodnioną z polskim królem, Bolesławem Krzywoustym, misję chrystianizacyjną Ottona z Bambergu.

Spisz pierwszy rok jaki jest na tym kamieniu.

The Griffin Trail

A long time ago, the Griffin Dynasty ruled the land surrounding the Baltic Sea for over five hundred years. Their symbol - the griffin, a mystical creature with the body of a lion, and the head, claws and wings of an eagle has been the symbol of Pomerania ever since. The Griffin Dynasty Route will allow us to get to know the places related to the rule of the dynasty.

Kamień Pomorski

It is one of the oldest towns in West Pomerania. It was once the temporary capital of the Pomeranian Duchy and the seat of diocese. Today it is a town full of heritage sites, a health resort and a modern marina.

The cache:

The cache is hidden at the Museum of the History of Kamień Land in a location indicated by GPS, and is available only during the Museum’s opening hours, Monday to Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There is an admission fee (about PLN 10) and I recommend visiting the Museum, and the access to the cache is free-of-charge. It is not necessary to talk to the Museum staff, a polite greeting is recommended though. The staff know about the cache and consented to place it at the museum. The cache is near the entrance door. The access to the cache is protected by a padlock with a code, and you need to answer questions about history and visit several heritage sites in the town.

What year is the first mention of Kamień Pomorski from? It is related to the date when Wartislaw I, the founder of the Griffin Dynasty took the christanisation mission conducted by Otto of Bamberg, in agreement with the Polish King, Bolesław III Wrymouth.

In what year did Casimir I , the Duke of Pomerania of the Griffin Dynasty founded the construction of the cathedral which is currently the St. John the Baptist Co-Cathedral in Kamień Pomorski?

Question 3:

Going past the Co-Cathedral and along Gryfitów St. (we are after all on the Griffin Dynasty Route), go to the old town square and to the Town Hall - coordinates N 53° 58.347 E 014° 46.109 (waypoint: Town Hall). There is a punishment tool on one of the walls of this 13th-century building. Find its description and count the letters in the name of the tool.

Question 4:

To the west of the square and the Town Hall, at the end of Basztowa St., there is Wolińska Gate. This Gothic town gate dating back to the 14th century houses the Stone Museum. Approach the Gate from the west side according to coordinates N 53° 58.309 E 014° 45.967 (waypoint: Wolińska Gate) and find a rock commemorating the 700th anniversary of the tower. Write down the first year indicated on the rock.

After adding all the obtained numbers, you will get the code to the padlock protecting the cache. There is a stamp in the cache, and it is not replaceable!

Vor langer Zeit, in den Ländern an der Ostsee, herrschte über ein halbes Jahrtausend lang die Dynastie der Greifen. Ihr Symbol - der Greif - ein Fabeltier mit dem Körper eines Löwen, Kopf, Klauen und Flügeln eines Adlers ist bis heute das Symbol Pommerns. Die Greifenroute ermöglicht es Ihnen, die mit der Herrschaft dieser Dynastie verbundenen Orte kennen zu lernen.

Kamień Pomorski

Die Stadt ist eine der ältesten Städte in Westpommern. Früher bekleidete sie vorläufig die Funktion der Hauptstadt des Herzogtums Pommern und war die Hauptstadt des Bistums. Heute ist es eine Stadt mit vielen Denkmälern, ein Kurort und ein moderner Yachthafen.

Geocache-Behälter:

Der Geocache-Behälter ist im Museum der Geschichte der Region Kamień an dem per GPS angegebenen Standort versteckt und ist nur während der Öffnungszeiten des Museums zugänglich: von Montag bis Samstag von 10:00 bis 16:00 Uhr. Der Eintritt in das Museum ist kostenpflichtig (ca. 10 Zloty) und es ist empfehlenswert, das Museum zu besuchen, aber der Zugang zur Box erfordert keine Gebühr. Auch Gespräche mit den Mitarbeitern des Museums sind nicht zwingend erforderlich, es reicht, sie zu begrüßen. Den Mitarbeitern ist der Geocache-Behälter bekannt und sie haben die Erlaubnis für dessen Unterbringung erteilt. Der Behälter befindet sich in der Nähe der Eingangstür. Der Zugang zum Geocache-Behälter wird durch ein Schloss mit einem Code geschützt. Um den Code zu erhalten, ist es erforderlich, Fragen zur Geschichte zu beantworten und mehrere Denkmäler in der Stadt zu besichtigen.
