Oficjialne odsłonięcie muralu miało miejsce 29.07.2021r
Mural przedstawiający świetnego przed laty piłkarza reprezentacji Polski i miejscowego GKS Jana Furtoka.
Jan Furtok w barwach GKS Katowice rozegrał 209 meczów ligowych, w których strzelił 85 goli.
W 36 spotkaniach reprezentacji trafił 10-krotnie.
Występował też w niemieckiej Bundeslidze – w HSV Hamburg i Eintrachcie Frankfurt.
