Lapidarium na Cmentarzu Komunalnym w Gryfinie powstało na przełomie 1994/1995 roku, ustawiono w nim płyty nagrobne dawnych mieszkańców Gryfina i okolic, większość z nim pochodzi z terenu obecnego cmentarza.
Przy tworzeniu lapidarium Gryfino współpracowało ze Stowarzyszeniem „Heimatkreis Greifenhagen” w Bersenbrucku.
