Zalew Skowronek został utworzony na rzece Brodła w 1970 roku przez Zakłady Chemiczne w Alwerni, a 3 lata później powstał towarzyszący mu Ośrodek Wypoczynkowy. Położony jest na południowych peryferiach miasta. Od 2006 roku akwen wodny jest własnością gminy.
Kesz przy ośrodku, który lepsze czasy ma już niestety za sobą. Nie wchodzimy na teren ośrodka.
