Description
Tram loop in Sobieszow
Micro-Cache is hidden near the old tram terminus in Sobieszów.
Tram line Jelenia Góra - Sobieszów was launched in 1895. It originally ran on gas-powered trams and widely spaced rails (1435mm) . In years 1898-1899 trams in Jelenia Gora , Cieplice and Sobieszow was rebuilt and replaced trams with electric drive and rail distance of 1000mm. The only out-of-city line connecting Jelenia Gora Railway Station - Town Hall Square - Cieplice - Sobieszow was supported in the interval 15 minutes (in the summer) and 20 minutes (in the winter). Journey from Sobieszow the railway station in Jelenia Gora lasted about an hour.
To avoid disfiguration beautiful city Jelenia Gora, Cieplice and famous from turists Sobieszow, the electric traction poles was elegantly decorated.
Loop tramway in Sobieszow was in front of HOTEL Tieste, later Technical Timber Industry . Today it houses the School of Management's.
