Przelew burzowy to takie miejsce w zaporze, które zabezpiecza zaporę przed wezbraną wodą. To swoisty zawór bezpieczeństwa przez który przelewa się wysoka woda. Gdy nie ma powodzi nie każdy może zorientować się do czego ta dziwna konstrukcja służy, bo wszystko jest suche.
