Beschrijving
Fortifications in the region of Biala Góra (White Mountain) were built in 1940-41 and 1944 as part of Warsaw Bridgehead (Brückenkopf Warschau). There are bunkers on the Biala Góra, anti-tank trench near the bunkers, many trenches in the forests in the forest, and other remnants of war such as the bomb craters.
Also roads wer buile - one from Karczew to the bunkers on Biala Góra (about 5km), the second road along the defensive line (about 9km). These roads were made from bricks from the Celestynów Brickyard, and from the ruins of the destroyed during war in september 1939 buildings in Warsaw. Also concrete slabs were used. As the labor force Jews from Karczew worked here.
These roads within the forest complex are preserved to this day, the brick surface is damaged, but near the geocache is quite good visible. Theese roads have a characteristic red color, hence names like Red Road used the local population, theese names are even marked up on the maps.
You'll find geocache between two monumental oaks, in quite big birch tree. Three steps from the road ... maybe four.
