I would like to encourage you to get to know a radio-television transmission center, so called antenna in Chwaszczyno.
We can debate about the beauty of this place, anyway it belongs to the landscape of the north-western suburbs of Gdynia. Besides, it's a good landmark and assures wireless reception of 3 television and 7 radio channels.
Passing this object by hardly anybody realize those facts:
- the tower is almost 50 years old (1962)
- it's the highest construction in the Pomorskie Voyevodeship (317 m.a.s.l., the top of the mast at the altitude 504 m), second highest in the north Poland and lucky 13. in the whole country
- it's located on the hill named "Kozie rogi" ("Goat's antler")
- the coverage of it's signal reaches even the south Sweden
- it was maintained in 1990 and that's when it received it's present height
- it's entirely automated
Above information come from wikipedia and gdansk.naszemiasto.pl
The cache's hiding place is the highest or at least one of the highest points of Chwaszczyno, the altitude above the sea level is 190 m n.p.m., according to my GPS indications.
A few steps ahead there is a picturesque panorama of Chwaszczyno and the Hills of Chwaszczyno.
People say that the tower is planned to be demolished soon, so it's worth to visit and document it on the photographs, because in a year or two it may not longer be there.
The distance of the route is counted approximatelly from the nearest bus stop. By car/bike it's possible to arrive almost directly to the cache. Still I advise searching it on longer trips e.g. from Dąbrowa, Chwaszczyno, Kacze Buki. Be extremely carefull if crossing the main road.
Coordinates are rather precise.
The tools definitely will be necessary.
Please hide and mask the cache accuratelly and leave the things at least the same value that you pick.
