This small wooden church was founded by Ludwika Benni, wife of a well-known doctor from Warsaw. It was designed by the famous architect Stanislaw Witkiewicz, the creator of the Zakopane style in architecture, which is inspired by the regional art of Poland’s highland region known as Podhale. The church was constructed in 1917-1919. According to the founder's wish, it is intended especially for the patients visiting the health resort of Naleczów (St. Charles Borromeo is the patron saint of the sick).
