Fort powstał w latach 1863-1866 dla obrony dworca Toruń Przedmieście (obecnie Toruń Główny), oraz linii kolejowej w stronę Kutna. W 1912 roku fort rozbudowano o trzy betonowe stanowiska dla dział 150mm. Obecnie fort jest najbardziej zniszczonym fortem twierdzy Toruń. Na dodatek wspaniale zarośnięty.
Skarb schowany na wysokości ok. 1,5m nad zemią. Ukryty za dwoma kawałkami luźnych cegieł. W celu odnalezienia nie trzeba używać kilofa, ani materiałów wybuchowych
Teren jest dość dziki i radzę uważać chodząc.
