Zegar Kwiatowy jest dziełem Zygmunta Hellwiga, który był autorem i realizatorem koncepcji przekształcenia miasta w jeden wielki park – ogród.

Kwietnik ten powstał w 1934 roku i wykonany jest w kształcie tarczy zegara. Wszystkie jego elementy wysadzane są corocznie z kilkunastu tysięcy różnokolorowych kwiatów.

Pokazujące aktualny czas wskazówki zegara napędzane są elektrycznym mechanizmem ukrytym pod nasypem. Mechanizm zegara zaprojektował zasłużony dla uzdrowiska inżynier J. Hibner.
