The purpose of protection of the reserve is the preservation of old pine trees with rich runes.
The main natural advantage are over 180 - year - old pine stands preserved in an unchanged state, with spontaneously renewing pine, with rich runes and rich fauna. The reserve is located in the area of the river bank. This area is characterized by a wavy shape. Among the protected species of animals there are, among others,: tinctor, nut-nut, jay, sand lizard, grass snake, slow-worm, viper, and common toad and green toad.
