Bartnia Reserve (translate by Google)
The regional name of the reserve is 'Czapliniec'. It is located in the municipality of Obryte in Zambski Forestry. The purpose of protection of the reserve is to preserve a fragment of a natural pine stand constituting the breeding site of the gray heron. It is a forest reserve, partial.
The most important natural value are pine stands of natural origin aged 140-170, preserved unchanged, with rich runes and fauna. The reserve is located within the riverside embankment, on a terrain with a varied, corrugated sculpture.
The rich world of animals is represented by, among others: badger, black woodpecker, nuthatch, mouse beetle, several species of titmouse, slow worm, grass snake, viper zygzakowata, common frog, common toad.
The reserve was the habitat of gray heron, for several years in this reserve the heron does not nest. The birds moved to the alder stand in the village of Pawłówek on private lands. As a result, the objective of protecting the reserve has been lost.
