Katalonia - Caganer

 

Niedaleko pada Hiszpania od Katalonii, jeśli chodzi o bożonarodzeniową tradycję. Caganer, bo o nim mowa, nie jest z pewnością postacią, dla której znalazłoby się miejsce w polskich jasełkach czy kościelnej stajence, jednak w Katalonii podczas świąt pełni on ważną rolę. Najczęściej jest to nieduży mnich, usytuowany gdzieś w rogu sceny, który w najlepsze... robi kupę. Wbrew pozorom nie jest to próba ośmieszenia narodzin Chrystusa ani dowód świętokradztwa, Caganer zwiastuje urodzaj i bogate zbiory.
