Gdyby  8 sierpnia 1991 roku nie runą najwyższy wówczas na świecie maszt radiowy w Konstantynowie nie powstało by Radiowe Centrum Nadawcze w Solcu Kujawskim. Nowe 2 anteny postawiono na terenie byłego poligonu.  4 września 1999 roku w uroczystym uruchomieniu centrum radiowego wzięli udział ówcześni prezydent i prymas.
