Description
No matter if it is a living creature or a non-living object - everything must come to the end some day. Cars are not an exception. Some of them reach a junkyard or a vehicle dismantling stations in one piece, others are used as a source of spare parts, and some are simply abandoned on a street by its owners. But some also end their lives in a more valuable way - as a material for trainings or some ‘accident shows’ organised by Fire Brigades. I presume the ‘collection’ of cars gathered at a car park at Nowolazurowa Street (also called 4th of June Avenue) is used in this way. That is because the Fire Station is situated next to it. We can see this unusual car park if we walk through a new viaduct over the railway track.
Fans of historical cars should rather not visit this place, because they can really feel sorry here, when looking at those decaying vehicles. We can observe here mainly the cars which used to be popular in Poland in 1990s and which are no longer so often seen of the streets like Fiat 126 and Cinquecento, Polonez or the oldest types of Ford Fiesta and Opel Astra. We can also spot some rather rare specimen: I managed to spot a Skoda 1203 truck (very rarely seen in Poland), Lada 2103, Trabant 601, Skoda 105 and Zastava 1100.
The cache is located in an obvious place, you have to only walk through the pavement at the western side of the viaduct, it is a good place to observe the whole car park. Off course, you should not walk under the viaduct and keep out of the railway track.
