Staw ten jest rezerwuarem dla wody powierzchniowej która wraz z opadami deszczu lub roztopami wiosennymi pojawia się w dużych ilościach i kolektoruje na pobliskich polach od strony północno wschodniej kierując się w stronę południowo wschodnią. 

Idąc dalej za okresowym korytem rzeki natrafimy na ponor. Ponor jest odwróceniem źródła. Ponor połyka wodę pod ziemię. W momencie kiedy wody jest więcej niż przepustowość ponoru woda przelewa się dalej już nie oczywistym korytem przez pobliskie zabudowania i działki aby dotrzeć do drugiego ponoru, który w formie okresowego jeziorka pojawia się co roku. W momencie gdy poziom wody w tym ponorze przekroczy pewien poziom, ciśnienie hydrostatyczne powoduje siłę, która przepycha wcześniej naniesioną ziemię i drobne inne formy znalezione po drodze przez wodę, a które to rzeczy wytworzyły korek w samym otworze ponoru. W ten sposób otwarty korek powoduje, że woda z okresowego jeziorka znika w parę godzin. 

Istnienie ponoru udowadnia istnienie korytarzu krasowych pod ziemią które powodują odwodnienie okolicznego obszaru. Niestety te pustki krasowe mogą być na tyle małe że niedostępne dla człowieka. Niestety ten obiekt speleologiczny nie został jeszcze zbadany. Warto podkreślić, że z dużym prawdopodobieństwem ponor ten ma ujęcie w źródle Będkówki. Warto wziąć pod uwagę ten fakt jeśli pomyśli się o dość częstej praktyce tego obszaru czyli nieszczelnych zbiorników na szambo lub umyślnego wypompowywaniu ich na pobliskie pola.

This pond is a reservoir for surface water which, together with rainfall or spring thaw, appears in large quantities and collects in the nearby fields from the north-east heading towards the south-east.

Going further along the periodic river bed, we come across a ponor. Ponor is the inversion of the source. Ponor swallows water underground. When there is more water than the capacity of the floodplain, the water flows through an unobvious channel through the nearby buildings and plots to reach the second floodwater, which appears every year in the form of a periodic lake. Once the water level in this poncho exceeds a certain level, hydrostatic pressure creates a force that pushes the previously deposited earth and the tiny other molds found on the way through the water, which have created a plug in the very opening of the popon. In this way, the open cap causes the water from the periodic pond to disappear in a few hours.

The existence of ponor proves the existence of karst corridors underground that cause drainage of the surrounding area. Unfortunately, these karst voids can be so small that they are inaccessible to humans. Unfortunately, this speleological object has not yet been explored. It is worth emphasizing that it is highly probable that this ponor has its intake in the Będkówka spring. It is worth taking this fact into account if you think about the quite frequent practice of this area, i.e. leaking septic tanks or deliberately pumping them out to nearby fields.
