O miejscu:
Zakłady Hutmen mają długą i złożoną historię sięgającą 1918 roku, kiedy powstał zakład „Schaefer & Schael” produkujący stopy łożyskowe i brązy. Po zniszczeniach wojennych w 1945 roku zakład został odbudowany i w 1947 roku oficjalnie wpisany do rejestru przedsiębiorstw jako Rafineria Metali „Wrocław”. W kolejnych latach kilkakrotnie zmieniał nazwę, aż w 1963 roku przyjął nazwę Zakłady Hutniczo-Przetwórcze Metali Nieżelaznych „HUTMEN”. W 1992 roku przedsiębiorstwo przekształcono w spółkę akcyjną Skarbu Państwa, a w 1997 roku zadebiutowało na warszawskiej giełdzie. Po przejęciu przez Grupę Boryszew w 2004 roku spółka rozwijała działalność kapitałową, jednak w następnych latach zmagała się z problemami finansowymi i organizacyjnymi. W 2017 roku akcje Hutmenu zostały wycofane z obrotu giełdowego, a w 2021 roku ogłoszono likwidację zakładu i zakończenie produkcji. W 2022 roku teren dawnego Hutmenu został sprzedany spółce MS Investment.

About the place:
The Hutmen plant has a long and complex history dating back to 1918, when the "Schaefer & Schael" plant, producing bearing alloys and bronzes, was established. After wartime destruction in 1945, the plant was rebuilt and officially entered into the register of enterprises in 1947 as the "Wrocław" Metal Refinery. In the following years, it changed its name several times, until in 1963 it adopted the name of the "HUTMEN" Metallurgical and Processing Plant for Non-Ferrous Metals. In 1992, the company was transformed into a state-owned joint-stock company and in 1997, it debuted on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. After being acquired by the Boryszew Group in 2004, the company expanded its capital operations, but in the following years it struggled with financial and organizational problems. In 2017, Hutmen shares were delisted from the stock exchange, and in 2021, the plant's liquidation and production cessation were announced. In 2022, the former Hutmen area was sold to MS Investment.
About the cache:
The cache is a fairly large box containing a logbook, a pencil, and a few spare items. It's sure to hold even large GeoKrets or TravelBug.
