"Strefa Kultury" to wyznaczony obszar kulturalno - rozrywkowo - biznesowy wyrosły w miejscu, gdzie jeszcze niedawno funkcjonowała kopalnia "Katowice". Przestrzeń ta doskonale symbolizuje przemianę z przemysłowego miasta w nowoczesną metropolię. Można tutaj aktywnie spędzić czas, odpocząć, dotknąć wielkiej kultury, poznać historię Ślaska, uczestniczyć w warsztatach dydaktycznych i wielu innych wydarzeniach. 

Jest to jedno z najbardziej spektakularnych osiągnięć inwestycyjnych w zakresie kultury oraz jest jednym z nielicznych tego rodzaju przedsięwzięć w Europie. Funkcjonujący od 40 lat "Spodek" połączono z odważnymi architektonicznie inwestycjami.
