About the site:
Plans for Construction - Construction-in-chief fortifications developed Sea Coast in 1932. The author was a lieutenant engineer W. Otocki. This project provided for każej battery (there were three anti-aircraft batteries located near Hel) two ammunition bunkers with the position of anti-aircraft guns Schneider 75 mm on the ceiling, concrete przyrządzeń position for measurement, barbed wire fences surrounding the Spanish and goats for the battery, field positions HMG.

The arms of each battery consisted of:

The mere 23 Battery was founded in 1935 on a high dune near the lighthouse Hel-Bor (now defunct), about 100 m from the road leading to the wild beach.
Battery was marked with the number 23 and its construction and equipment were almost identical to the battery 21 and 22

The main task was to protect the battery anti-Hel Fortified Region on the west side. It could also lead to fire and ground surface targets. In September 1939, it was commanded by por.mar. Eugene Gasiorowski.
