Dokładnie 1 października 2022 minęło sto lat, od kiedy miasto Zabrze uzyskało prawa miejskie. 

Przy rondzie Sybiraków znajdującym się w dzielnicy Centrum Południe powstał wyjątkowy, kolorowy mural. Znajduje się na nim duży napis "100 lat Zabrza". Wypisane są na nim wszystkie dzielnice miasta, oraz zaprezentowano ważne dla Zabrza budowle.
