Description PL

Park powstał w 1906 roku z inicjatywy Rudolfa Hegenscheidta, ówczesnego dyrektora naczelnego Huty Pokój. Nazywano go wówczas Parkiem Ludowym lub Hutniczym. Projektantem był Fryderyk Hanisz z Katowic. Po wojnie park nosił nazwy Park Młodzieży, a następnie Park im. Ludwika Waryńskiego. Aktualna powierzchnia parku wynosi 4,74 ha.
