I'd like to invite you for a short walk in the center of Gliwice.
The Armenian Church that is the theme of this cache is one of the
three Armeniian-Catholic parishes in Poland - the South Parish.
This fact alone would make the small church unique, but there's
even more to see here. It iis one of the oldest churches in
Gliwice, founded in 1409, but the current building was raised in
1836-1838. If you're lucky enough to get inside the building,
you'll see the blessed painting of Virgin Mary of Łysiec, and
outside the building you can see a statue of John of Nepomuk - by
the same author that sculpted the Neptun statue on the town
square.
If you'd like to see some pictures of this location, please follow
the links on polish section of description. There are even more
interesting stories of this place to be found there, maybe I will
translate some of them someday :)
The coordinates will take you in front of the John of Nepomuk
sculpture. Take approx. 70 steps due south (more less) from there.
Be very very careful - this place is almost always crowded.
Magnetic cache, very small.
