O miejscu:
W czasie kampanii Napoleońskiej w lutym 1807 roku do miasta wkroczyły wojska francuskie. Zajęły one koszary pruskie które przemianowano na szpital. Zmarłych, nie tylko żołnierzy francuskich pochowano w kurchanie. Miejsce to obecnie nazwane jest Górką Francuską.
