Przy jazie opatowickim, wśród kolczastych krzewów tarniny, Mock ujrzał cel swoich porannych wędrówek po rozlewiskach Odry i jej dopływu - Oławy. Niebezpieczny, tryskający spod jazu wodospad odcinał gapiów, którzy stali na brzegu osiedla Biskupin i usiłowali zobaczyć, co też policja znalazła na wyspie, na której jeszcze wczoraj urządzali sobie piwne pikniki. [...] Mock z nostalgią spojrzał na wysmukły pseudogotycki budynek stojący na terenie Przystani Wilhemińskiej i przypomniał sobie nocne uciechy, jakim jeszcze niedawno tam się oddawał. Teraz na odległe krańce Wrocławia wzywały go obowiązki innego rodzaju. [...]

Cache hidden on the Opatowicka island at the southern outskirts of Wrocław, by the weir leading to the Biskupin district. Since on the donwstream side of the islands a construction of the theme park has squatted thus gulping up another slice of public space, we have placed the cache by the right side of the weir (looking at the shore). The earthly remains of the four seamen wearing leather suspensories that started the "four sailors case" had been found on the left side of the weir according to Krajewski's novel.
Other interesting things on the island are: ruins of the amphitheatre, hornet's nest, water locks on the southern end, and another cache.
The island still is a great place for beer picnics by the fireplace, with an option for loud singing to the guitar or a'capella (closest settlements reside in ~1km radius ;)) If you decide to have a picnic, PLEASE CLEAN UP AFTER YOU'RE DONE! Last time we had been picking up litter for half an hour, before we could carry on with our own.
Cache contains a logbook and pencil (n.f.t.) hematite beads, some coins, shell and a piece of amber.
